How can we help?
Often when people present to a physiotherapist, they are experiencing an epsiode of pain somewhere in their body. This may be a recurrence of a previous issue or something completely new. For many, it is the first time they have experienced such pain, and that can feel a little scary. How do we know which movements are safe? Should we rest completely or keep moving for a faster recovery? That’s where we come in. At Milkwood Studios, you will undergo a thorough assessment with an experienced physio who genuinely wants to see you back in action quickly just as much as you do. Your condition will be explained in detail, and your therapist will work with you to set some movement goals and a treatment plan so you leave feeling confident in your body’s ability to recover.
Our passion is teaching people how to move in a way that benefits their body, whether or not they have pain.

What your first visit might look like..
Manual Therapy
Our physiotherapists have extensive training and experience in a variety of manual therapy techniques to address local tissue restrictions, joint tightness, inflamed structures and other musculoskeletal issues which may be affecting your function.
1:1 Restorative Exercise
The way you move on a daily basis affects the function of your muscles, joints and other tissues. Manual therapy will give you short term relief, but to make lasting change you need to know how to move in a way that is beneficial for your body. Our therapists will show you how to move more efficiently, allowing your body to heal itself.
Group Exercise
Once you know how to move better, you’re ready to make a habit of it! Regular attendance at our small group sessions, led by Pilates-trained physiotherapists, will see you grow stronger, improve flexibility and stability, and regain confidence in your body to serve you well into the future.
