Physiotherapy for jaw pain
Did you know specially trained physios can treat jaw pain? Incidence of this condition has spiked in recent years due to an increase in stress levels across much of the population. The pandemic, along with recent world events, has meant many of us are dealing with higher stress levels than previously on a daily basis. This often results in clenching and grinding of the teeth, either during the day or at night. Your dentist may provide you with a mouth guard to prevent damage to your teeth, but that won’t stop the clenching. It’s a good idea to seek professional help if you feel you are in a chronic state of stress. Other things that can help include meditation, mindfulness, taking up a pursuit such as art, music, craft etc. and of course making sure you get enough exercise.
In the meantime though, you may need to get that jaw pain or clicky jaw addressed. At Milkwood Studios, we have the skill to treat your jaw pain, along with any associated neck and upper shoulder pain. They often go hand in hand.
