Exciting News Regarding ACL tears!

Did you know ACL tears can repair themselves??

The anterior cruciate ligament, or ACL, is one of the main structures responsible for knee stability, particularly during sport. Over the past decade, ACL injuries have risen significantly, especially in younger athletes. This has led to an increase in research and recent findings are showing that given the right environment, the ACL can actually repair itself, meaning in many cases surgery is not the only option. Conservative rehab is less invasive, less risky and cheaper than surgery, and may allow a faster return to sport. So, if you or someone you know suffers an ACL injury, get it checked by an experienced physio before deciding to head down the surgical path.
